(September 24 2010) – Elvin and Jacqueline Vinson of Lawtonhave claimed the winning Mega Millions ticket worth $1000000. This isOklahoma Lotterys first $1000000 winner since the matrix change for MegaMillions went into effect on Sept. 14 2010.
Elvin purchased the winning ticket at Stripes 4001 NW Cache Road in Lawton. Their winning numbers were selected through the Easy Pick option.
The couple has been married for 33 years but has known each other since secondgrade. Jacqueline said her husband hasalways said he would win a million dollars someday.
With their winnings theVinsons plan to pay off the remainder of their mortgage and use the rest toenjoy life and take care of themselves and their children.
Elvin does not plan toreturn to work post winning while Jacqueline will continue to work as a federalemployee for a few more years until she reaches retirement age. Elvin served 24years in the Military and is retired from FortSill in Lawton.
