AS TEXAS PLAYER WINS $144 MILLION JACKPOT
Somerset and Monmouth County Winners Join Growing Ranks of
NJ Mega Millions Winners
TRENTON , NJ – (February 1, 2010) – A Texas lottery player has won the $144 million Mega Millions jackpot for the drawing held on Friday, January 29 . In addition, two lucky New Jersey Lottery players won the Mega Millions second prize of $250,000. One of the winning tickets was sold in Somerset County , and was purchased at Krauszers, located at 435 Amwell Road in Hillsborough. The other lucky ticket was sold in Monmouth County at Brighton Exxon, located at 1 Brighton Aveue in Neptune City . The jackpot now resets to $12 million for the Tuesday, February 2 drawing.
“Congratulations to Krauszers and Brighton Exxon , said the Lotterys Acting Executive Director Steven Palmieri. “ For selling these tickets, they will each receive a bonus check for $500. They have become two of the Lotterys most recent ‘lucky locations overnight.
In addition to the Garden State s two second-prize winners, 128,868 other New Jersey players took home $583,102 in prizes ranging from $2 to $10,000, according to Palmieri.
The winning numbers for the Friday, January 29 drawing were: 01, 10, 22, 23, and 38 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 19. T he Mega Millions jackpot will reset to $12,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held on Tuesday, February 2 at 11:00 pm on NJN-TV –the New Jersey Network.
