LANSING, February 11, 2005 – Bassam Noh of Sterling Heights is the latest Fantasy 5 winner. Noh matched all five numbers in the Feb. 10, 2005 drawing to claim a $325,334 prize! The jackpot that started out at $100,000 had grown for a week before Noh won.
Noh is a 30-year-old student/mechanic that has only played the Lottery for the last three years. The only game he plays is Fantasy 5. Within the last month, he had matched four out of five numbers several times, resulting in a $100 prize each time. He knew his time was due to win the big jackpot. The lucky winner called the Lotterys 800-number to find out his ticket had matched all five numbers. “My heart almost stopped beating when I found out I had matched all five numbers, said Noh. He and his brother plan on starting a business together with the prize money. He also plans on taking care of his family.
The lucky easy-pick ticket was purchased at 11 & Washington Food & Gas, 110 N. Washington Blvd., in Royal Oak.
Fantasy 5 is the Michigan Lotterys newest game, which replaced Michigan Roll Down. Drawings for the game are held seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.
