MIAMI MAN TURNS $10 INTO $1 MILLION
Claims a $1 million top prize in THE COLOR OF MONEY ScratchOff game!

TALLAHASSEE The Florida Lottery today announced that Jose De Cespedes 66 of Miami claimed a $1 million top prize in THE COLOR OF MONEY ScratchOff game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

De Cespedes chose the onetime lumpsum payment option for his winnings in the amount of $700000. He purchased his winning ticket from Kwik Stop located at 1550 S.W. 27th Avenue in Miami.

The $10 ScratchOff game THE COLOR OF MONEY launched on March 8 and includes more than $37 million in total prizes. Three of the six top prizes remain in the game. The overall odds of winning are one in 3.38.

The Florida Lottery offers more than 40 ScratchOff games at any given time through ITVMs or oncounter displays at more than 13000 retailers statewide. ScratchOff games are an important part of the Lotterys portfolio of games making up approximately 53 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $396 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 200910.

Florida voters by a twotoone margin approved a constitutional amendment in 1986 authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education. Today Floridians continue to show their support by purchasing nearly $4 billion in Lottery products per year resulting in contributions of more than $22 billion to the EETF since 1988.
