Claims $1 Million ScratchOff Prize

TALLAHASSEE The Florida Lottery today announced that Hicham Herradi 36 of Kissimmee claimed a $1 million top prize in the FLORIDA MILLIONAIRES CLUB ScratchOff game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

Herradi chose the onetime lumpsum payment option for his winnings in the amount of $700000. He purchased his winning ticket at 7Eleven located at 4400 Pleasant Hill Road in Kissimmee.

The $20 FLORIDA MILLIONAIRES CLUB ScratchOff game launched on January 11 and includes more than $151 million in total prizes. Currently there is one top prize of $3 million and five prizes of $1 million remaining. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game are one in 2.95.

The Florida Lottery offers more than 40 ScratchOff games at any given time through instant ticket vending machines (ITVMs) or oncounter displays at more than 13000 retailers statewide. ScratchOff games are an important part of the Lotterys portfolio of games making up approximately 53 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $396 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 200910.

Florida voters by a twotoone margin approved a constitutional amendment in 1986 authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education. Today Floridians continue to show their support by purchasing nearly $4 billion in Lottery products per year resulting in contributions of more than $22 billion to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund since 1988.
