BREVARD COUNTY MAN CLAIMS $6 MILLION
FLORIDA LOTTO&8482; JACKPOT
TALLAHASSEE The Florida Lottery announced today that FLORIDA LOTTO&8482; winner Anthony Pesce 51 of Merritt Island claimed the April 28 $6 million FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot.
Pesce chose the onetime lumpsum payment for his winnings in the amount of $3435639.35. The winning FLORIDA LOTTO Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Condor Petroleum located at 3120 N. Courtenay Parkway. The retailer received a bonus incentive of $20000 for selling the jackpotwinning ticket.
The winning FLORIDA LOTTO numbers were 051529373952 and the XTRA multiplier was 3.
Total ticket sales for this jackpot generated approximately $4.1 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF). Since 1988 the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $21 billion to the EETF benefiting our students and schools as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a twotoone margin Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education.
Pesce is the 34th FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot winner to purchase a winning ticket in Brevard County. To date there have been more than 950 FLORIDA LOTTO jackpot winners statewide since 1988.
