DENVER The $9.1 million Lotto jackpot up for grabs for Saturday could buy 13000 topofthe line iPads or 27 Rolls Royce Phantoms. The last time the jackpot was over $9 million was September 2008. The cash value of the $9.1 million jackpot is $4.5 million.

The rising Lotto jackpot has generated plenty of excitement among consumers. While weekly Lotto sales have averaged $794000 for the current fiscal year last weeks sales totaled more than $1 million. For the last eight weeks Lotto sales have averaged $945000.

The Lotto jackpot hasnt been hit since Feb. 27 2010 when a Denver resident won a $6.7 million jackpot. Saturdays drawing will be the 34th drawing in the current jackpot run.

Lotto drawings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays at approximately 735 p.m. The probability of winning the jackpot is one in 5245786. The winning numbers are selected using an automated drawing machine which randomly generates the winning numbers.
