Lotto jackpot jumps to $10.1 million

LOTTO JACKPOT JUMPS TO $10.1 MILLION

DENVER Since no one hit the Lotto jackpot in Saturdays drawing the jackpot for Wednesdays jackpot is now $10.1 million. The last time the Lotto jackpot was over $10 million was in October 2008. The cash value of the $10.1 million jackpot is just over $5 million.

The Lotto jackpot hasnt been hit since Feb. 27 2010 when a Denver resident won a $6.7 million jackpot. The largest jackpot of 2009 was $5.9 million and the largest Lotto jackpot on record is a $27 million jackpot won in march 1992.

Lotto drawings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays at approximately 735 p.m. The probability of winning the jackpot is one in 5245786. The most frequently drawn number in Lotto history is 34. Ranking second is the number 10. The least frequently drawn number is 6. The winning numbers are selected using an automated drawing machine which randomly generates the winning numbers.
