$200000 powerball prize won in arizona

PHOENIX (March 15 2010) — One Powerball ticket purchased in Glendale for Saturdays drawing matched all five white ball numbers for the second prize of $200000. As of 10 a.m. today that ticket has not yet been claimed.

The ticket was purchased at the Circle K at 6937 N. 75th Ave. The winning numbers were 6 16 20 31 36 and the Powerball was 8. The Arizona ticket was one of 12 nationwide that matched all five white ball numbers for the second prize.

Because the $211.7 million Powerball jackpot was won by a single ticket holder in New Jersey the jackpot returns to $20 million for Wednesdays drawing.

Since the end of January there have been a total of six second prize winning tickets purchased here in Arizona

· Feb. 13 Frys Food Store 185 W. Apache Trail Apache Junction

· Feb. 27 Circle K 13110 W. Glendale Ave. Glendale

· March 10 Safeway 8021 N. 35th Ave. Phoenix

· March 13 Circle K 6937 N. 75th Ave. Glendale

“We are excited to add another $200000 Powerball winner to the string of second prize tickets won in Arizona in recent weeks” said Jeff HatchMiller executive director for the Arizona Lottery. “Four of the six $200000 prizes out there are waiting to be claimed so I would like to urge everyone who participated in those drawings to check their tickets to see if they may be the states latest Powerball winners.”

So far only the Jan. 27 and Feb. 27 winning tickets have been claimed.

In addition the jackpot for The Pick Arizonas own jackpot game is now at $5.9 million the highest it has been in more than two years.

The drawings are broadcast during the 10 p.m. news on Channel 15 (ABC) in Phoenix Channel 13 (CBS) in Tucson and in Spanish on Univision. Powerball is played in 41 states the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
