Espace Creation has laid out its new Traces to showcase Collection LotoQuebecs most recent acquisitions. From January 26 to April 24 2011 43 inspiring Quebec artists will make their mark with 67 unpublishedpaintings sculptures engravings glass works photographs and mixed medium pieces.

While very different at first glance the exhibition lets the works take form in a continuous flow of diverse forms languagesand contemporary artistic styles. Traces presents the work of such recognized and upandcoming artists as Thierry ArcandBosse Hugo Bergeron Sean Rudman FrancineSimonin and Bill Vazan to name only a few.

The exhibition is also an opportunity to observe the directions taken by Collection Loto&8209;Quebec as it discovers creators andacquires works of art by talented Quebec artists. In the flow of Traces one may understand the steps Collection LotoQuebec takes to make its acquisitions and how each is a unique and real democraticprocess.

Designed by Louis Pelletier curator of Collection LotoQuebec Traces is mainly made up of acquisitions from 2010 a year that left its imprint on this company collection recognized by the contemporaryvisual arts community in Quebec.

Traces is a rich dynamic and topical tour for contemporary creation enthusiasts who want to keep abreast of this evolving art.
