Entreprise collectivecompanies artfully reveal their treasures

paintings photographs etchings andaqua fortis &8211; signed by internationally renowned artists such as Marc&8209;Aurele de Foy Suzor&8209;Cote Jean Paul Riopelle Alfred Pellanand Andy Warhol as well as those of promising artists Jon Todd and Valerie Blass. We wanted to present a realistic portraitof Quebecs company collections says curator Nicolas Mavrikakis and not only did we succeed in doing so but we also celebrateand encourage our culture.

This exhibition is richly populated with treasures often unknown to the public and results from explorations by curator Nicolas Mavrikakisof the 16 company collections that are taking part in the project. Beautifully complemented by photographs by artist Emmanuelle Leonardthe exhibition is a faithful reflection of the world of company collections.

Nicolas Mavrikakis is an art critic and teaches art history and French literature at College Jean&8209;de&8209;Brebeuf. He is a contributorto Montreals Voir newspaper and many other Canadian magazines specializing in art.

For the past 30 years Loto&8209;Quebec has maintained its mission to stimulate Quebec creativity in visual arts thanks to itscontemporary arts acquisition program. Today Collection Loto&8209;Quebec boasts over 4300 works produced by over 1200 local artists. It is a major player in Quebecs artistic heritage. Collection Loto&8209;Quebec pursues its mission by showcasing its works of art at Espace Creation and on exhibition tours throughout the province.
