An elevenmember group from the Mauricie region shared a $25000000 prize won in the February 26 Lotto Max draw. This amount was half of the $50000000 jackpot the other half being won in British Columbia. The winners nine customersof the Depanneur Saint&8209;Narcisse as well as the two owners of the business were in the habit of playing the lottery throughgroup shares purchased at the convenience store. The owners themselves called most of the winners to give them the big news.One of the winners however who was just returning from a trip received the surprise right in the store when she went topick up some groceries.
The prize was divided into ten shares. The nine customers received $2.5 million each while the two owners each won half ofthe final share an amount of $1.25 million. The retailer will also receive a commission cheque in the amount of $250000equal to 1% of the winnings.
