Only an individual aged 18 or over and residing in the Province of Québec can claim $2,000 per 2 weeks for life. Draws of Jour de paye are held every Thursday
The draw is conducted using a single ball machine containing balls numbered from 1 to 36. Seven balls are drawn at random from the ball machine. The first 6 numbers form the winning selection and the 7th ball represents the bonus number.
New: the bonus number alone offers a prize.
The Quick Pick selection is a wager generated by the Loto-Québec computer. Simply ask the retailer for the Quick Pick and the number of draws you want (up to 8). You can also play Extra.
The Replay Option allows you to renew the ticket’s selections for upcoming draws when the ticket is validated. The main advantage is that you do not need to keep your selection slip or fill one out every time you wish to replay your favourite selection.
With the Replay Option, all tickets can be replayed. Replayed tickets contain the same selections and Extra numbers as the original ticket. A non-participating Extra number on the original ticket can be activated for the replayed ticket. A ticket can be replayed in the 30 days following the date of the last draw and you can change the number of draws for which you want to replay your ticket.
The winner who wishes to take advantage of the annuity has to be an individual player aged 18 or older and be a Québec resident. He will receive $2,000 every two weeks for life, i.e. until his or her death. However, he could also choose a lump sum of $675,000.
If the winner chooses the annuity, he will get the balance of the annuity, an amount of $2,000 after tax, which will be paid to him every two weeks.
The annuity and the lump sum are not taxable.
Upon the death of the winner, the annuity may be transferred to the winner's legal heirs only if the death occurs within the first 20 years after first receiving the annuity. The heirs will then receive the annuity for the remainder of the first 20 years.
Loto-Québec may at any time, at its discretion, limit the total amount payable for a category to $2,700,000 per draw. In such cases, the prizes will be determined in proportion to the number of winning selections of the category.
