Statement from OLG

TORONTO: With the assistance of Mr. Justice Coulter Osborne acting as a facilitator, Kelly McDougald, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and the Government of Ontario have reached an agreement to resolve the dispute between them regarding Ms. McDougald’s employment by the OLG as the Chief Executive.
Mr. Justice Osborne is one of Ontario’s most esteemed jurists, having served as a justice of the Ontario Court of Appeal and as the Associate Chief Justice of Ontario. He retired from the bench in 2001 after 22 years of service as a jurist. Thereafter, he served as Ontario’s Integrity Commissioner and Lobbyist Registrar.
As part of the agreement, the OLG will make a payment of $747,925.00 to Ms. McDougald. Ms. McDougald agrees to withdraw her legal claim against the OLG and the Government of Ontario.
The parties wish to thank Mr. Justice Osborne for acting as a facilitator in this matter.
