The odds of nailing the sevennumber combination are one in 28.6 million per play.
In B.C. the $25 Million prize sets a new record as the richest ever jackpot won in the province eclipsing the old mark held by Tsering Luding of Richmond who won a $24.6 Million Lotto Super 7 jackpot on February 11 2005.
So far no one has come forward to BCLCs Richmond office to claim a share of the prize.
There was an additional $10 Million in MAXMILLIONS to be won on last nights draw; however with only one of the $1 Million prizes won the remaining nine MAXMILLIONS are added to the next LOTTO MAX draw making next Fridays jackpot worth an estimated $19 Million.
With a whopping $60 Million in total top prize money to be won last nights LOTTO MAX draw tied the record for the largest in Canadian history. The previous top $50 Million LOTTO MAX jackpot (which also featured 10 MAXMILLIONS) was won in November 2009 by Kirby and Marie Fontaine of Sagkeeng First Nation northeast of Winnipeg Manitoba.
Growing since January 9 2010 the LOTTO MAX jackpot last week reached its cap of $50 Million causing the game to enter MAXMILLIONS mode where players get the chance to win the $50 Million jackpot as well as additional $1 Million MAXMILLIONS prizes with each $5 ticket.
