Moncton (N.B.) Allen and Violet Large from Truro N.S. arrived at Atlantic Lottery today to pick up their cheque for a whopping $11.2million. They are the lucky winners of the July 14 LOTTO 6/49 jackpot draw.
It was a usual Thursday morning in the Large household but when Violet called to get the winning numbers for the draw the night before she got some unbelievable news all the numbers matched.
In disbelief Violet called her brothers. One checked the numbers in the newspaper while the other got a printout form the store. Both were able to reassure her that she had indeed won.
Allen and Violet have no major plans for the prize money other than giving to their family and charities. Were just good old country people said Allen.
Lottoland in Truro N.S. will receive a one percent sellers prize for selling the winning ticket.
